Job Description
This position opening is at the Lewisburg Branch of the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA. The Branch Executive Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the Branch including membership, programs, school age child care, rental opportunities, volunteer and staff development, financial development and collaborations with partner agencies. There are currently 3650 members at this Branch Y, which has a wellness center, sports performance room, group exercise & cycling rooms. A field house is home to four gymnasiums, a turf field, and several multipurpose rooms. This YMCA hosts many local and regional special events and rentals. The director will follow best practices in all program areas including expanding current services and developing new program services and will provide leadership with the YMCA Annual Campaign.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a liaison between Lewisburg Y Board of Directors and departments within the Y.
- Assists in preparation and administers overall Lewisburg Y budget for the fiscal year.
- Provides scheduling of facilities and personnel where applicable.
- Oversees hiring and supervision of Branch Staff.
- Has 6 full-time direct reports.
- Plans and controls new program thrusts for the advancement of the organization.
- Supervises and assists in annual event planning.
- Responsible for overall member services.
- Responsible for public relations.
- Responsible for Board of Directors development.
- Conducts the Annual Campaign, including the Raise the Region Campaign, and oversees fundraising activities allocated to the Program Directors.
- Ensures staff are provided with training opportunities.
- Reviews and evaluates all programs at the Branch.
- Oversees and provides strategic direction of all programs or coordinators of programs.
- Participate in community events to represent and promote the Y.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- All YMCA staff must have, or be in the process of obtaining, CPR/AED and First Aid certification, and Child Abuse Prevention Training & Clearances.
