Job Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a pivotal leadership role overseeing our healthcare facility's nursing department. This position requires a dedicated professional with extensive experience in nursing management. The DON ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care while adhering to regulatory standards and best practices. The DON plans, directs, organizes, and evaluates nursing services to meet the total needs of the residents and ensures an efficient health facility operation in cooperation with other departments and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Education –
- Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program (RN)
- BS Degree, Masters Preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience
Experience/Training –
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of professional managerial experience in a related field
- Clinical observation and assessment skills
- Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records, and communicate with team members
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations –
- Current RN license in Washington
- Current CPR certification

Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing staff and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage patient care services and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Implement and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain patient records in EHR systems.
- Provide training and support to nursing staff on patient observation and care techniques.
- Uphold resident rights and advocate for quality care,
- Responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of facility nursing services, monitor, measure, and evaluate the outcomes of nursing care
- Ensure nursing related expenses and staff scheduling adhere to facility budgets.
- Provide ongoing training to nursing staff to ensure provision of quality care and assessments.
- The Director of Nursing oversees all nursing and related staff; provides scheduled and unscheduled performance reviews and discipline as necessary to staff.
- Prepare for and oversee federal and state inspections, including execution of plan of corrections when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
