What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Technology Officer (genAI) position at Greylock?
Summary:
An early-stage agentic AI startup is looking to bring on a CTO with proven expertise in deep learning and generative AI. Priority given to candidates with strong academic foundations who have grown up through the ranks in Applied Research / MLE in market-leading companies. Additional experience with vc-funded startups is a strong plus!
Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or PhD with 10 years of industry experience building AI/ML products via model training and/or fine-tuning (target scope: Sr Staff/Principal Eng/Distinguished Eng/CTO)
- 2 years of experience with the integration of software engineering with large language models (ideally GPT)
- Passion for deeply understanding customer needs
- Ability to navigate and solve open-ended technological challenges in a fast-evolving AI landscape
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex, cross-functional projects
