Experienced Bartender

Summary/Objective:

The Experienced Bartender MUST have 1 years experience of working Bartender shifts (not a server who makes drinks as part of their shift). He/she prepares and serves craft brewed beer, specialty cocktails, and other beverages while ensuring and exceptional dining experience to our customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Prepares beverages, takes and delivers food, beverage and retail orders to customers.

· Clearing, cleaning, and setting customer bar and dining areas

· Maintain clean, neat, and orderly bar area

· Manages and balances cash box for dining and bar cash transactions

· Washes and sterilizes beverageware and barware

· Runs beverages to servers’ tables

· Maintains compliance with all applicable employment, health, sanitation, safety, food handling, hygiene policies, laws and regulations for bar service staff.

· Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Operate restaurant point-of-sale systems (e.g., Toast POS), preferred.

• Operate bar and cleaning equipment

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, team player, and customer service skills.

• Basic mathematical skills; basic reading and writing skills; basic computer skills.

• Unpredictable and variable hours requiring frequent late nights, weekends, long hours and varied shifts.

• Accuracy and speed in executing repetitive and standardized assigned tasks and procedures

• Strong leadership, planning, management, execution, problem solving and team building skills

Qualifications:

· 1 years prior bartending experience, is REQUIRED.

- Must be at least 18 years old

· High school diploma, preferred

· Unpredictable and variable hours requiring frequent late nights, weekends, long hours and varied shifts.

· Provide prior certifications or be willing to get certified in work related trainings (e.g., state required, workplace safety, alcohol safety, food safety, company and job specific)

Physical Requirements:

• Position is very active and requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting items weighing up to 60 pounds; repetitive hand, finger, and wrist motion; occasional climbing at heights

· Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus required; required to speak and hear.

• Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, smoke, steam, slippery, and wet environments, hazardous equipment, and broken and sharp items, high and variable noise levels, immersion of hands in water and chemicals

• Required to wash hands frequently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
