Position: Operations Research Analyst - Mid to Senior
Location: Dumfries, VA
Overview: Group W is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to support a government client as a study lead. The candidate will support the USMC study system through the planning, execution, and documentation of analytical studies. Studies employ methods ranging from operations research, statistics, data science, modeling and simulation, and wargaming.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited university in industrial engineering, systems engineering, management science, operations research, or an applied science discipline
- Experience with statistical and data analysis software, such as JMP or Tableau
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance
Preferred:
- Prior Marine Corps experience preferred
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- 5 years' experience in military analysis
- Prior experience writing Python for pre-processing, post-processing, data analytics, and data visualization.
- Some experience integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into analytical studies
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Applies skills to solve complex problems using statistical analysis, parametric and non-parametric analysis, computer modeling, simulation, and regression analysis
- Serves as an analyst responsible for developing and executing analytical models and methods that support warfighting analyses
- Advises other operations research analysts, scientists, or engineers on techniques best suited for tasked problems
- Guides team members utilizing study lead management skills providing quality control and mentorship
- Effectively communicates study results to analysts and/or senior leaders
Salary: $130,000 to $170,000 (provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
