Supply Chain Supervisor

Position Overview:
Grower Direct Nut Co. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Supervisor to oversee and manage our supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of products while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to streamline processes to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier program by keeping all required supplier documents up to date and updating supplier program spreadsheet.
• Oversee the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials.
• Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and manage reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of materials and products.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize transportation, reduce shipping costs, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Supervise and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Assist Account Payables Team with late or troublesome invoices ensuring proactive and positive supply chain and vendor relationships
• Setup and Maintain vendor and supplier information within ERP system ensuring continual accuracy and verifiable information.
• Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics such as lead times, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety standards, and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate and work across departments and functions.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the food industry or a related field.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAGE, SAP or Oracle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
