Job Summary :
The Construction Coordinator generates, plans, directs, and coordinates the day-to-day operation of telecommunications construction employees. They are responsible for developing a process for completion of ongoing and potential projects and monitor and control projects by directing on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to) :
- Direct the work of foremen and crews, planning, organizing, and directing activities concerned with all jobs / projects.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with permit requirements.
- Supervise multiple job sites during the course of a day.
- Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with supervisors and foremen to discuss such matters.
- Represent company in project meetings with customers, vendors, managers, and staff and provide progress of work completed within project timeline.
- Inform all subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, change orders and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
- Work with Construction Manager to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
- Provide schedule, and project database updates, report regularly to Construction Manager to keep them constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.
- Manager compliance with quality control and quality assurance standards and specifications.
- Process of invoices and track job costs.
- Maximize project profitability, identify project responsibilities, phases, and project plan lifecycle.
- Maintain supplies and materials to complete each project.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff and clients.
- Lead and maintain a safe work environment including safety meetings and documentation for safety compliance.
- Ensure accuracy of time reporting for non-exempt / hourly employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
