Position Title: Lead Security Guard

Reporting to the Security Safety Coordinator. Has overall responsibility for protecting organizations property, assets, employees and visitors. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points. Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.

In this role, you’ll:

• Responsible for patrolling and monitoring assigned facilities, monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Manage logging of security incidents
• Provide a safe working environment.
• Evicting trespassers and violators, while following legal protocols, allowing authorities to arrive to take over.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred.
• Implement security protocols.
• Oversee security schedules and assignments.
• Conduct regular meetings with security team.
• Using the provided communication devices (two-way radios) in a clear and concise manner.
• May perform CPR in emergency situations.
• Maintains a vigilant focus on protecting company’s property and enforces laws.
• May conduct security checks for specified areas.
• Controls visitor and property access during and after work hours.
• Demonstrated ability to apply good judgement to identify the best course of action.
• Observation skills and the ability to quickly notice anything out of order.
• Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
• Report safety issues such as fire hazards, vandalism and suspicious criminal activity.
• Additional Duties as assigned.

We need someone who has:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Minimum 3 - 5 years Security Guard experience (Preferred)
• Level II Non-Commissioned Preferred
• CPR First Aid Certification a plus
• Security Guard License or Certification
• Driver License
• Routine Driver

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time 4-6 hours
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Job duties involved an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood with a risk of exposure to Hepatitis and HIV.
