Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, the Revenue Accountant will ensure the accuracy and compliance of revenue-related financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and regulations. This role will be primarily responsible for leading Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, supporting various accounting operations, and partnering with the Cost Manager on gross margin analysis. This is an on-site, in-office position in our Franklin, TN location - it is not remote or hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the sales organization with SKU revenue reporting
• Partner with the sales organization on promotional cadence

• Apply customer payments and manage large retailer payments for Amazon, Costco, Home Depot, etc.
• Track and apply credit memos for returns, accruals for promotional periods, and sales tax payables.
• Provide accurate cash flow projections based on AR data.

• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Analyze account activity, preparing summary schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Serve as escalation point for technical accounting team members.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain an organized workflow and stay informed of daily work priorities and status.

• Participate proactively in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Collaborate effectively within a team while also working independently to complete daily tasks.

• Occasionally work outside of regular business hours to meet deadlines.
• Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• 5 years of general accounting experience, with a strong focus on Revenue and AR.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), including advanced Excel functions.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
• Excellent research, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to communicate professionally with strong verbal and written skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous lead experience in an accounting department
• Experience with big box retail and high-volume sales revenue (i.e. – Amazon or The Home Depot)
• Experience with NetSuite w/ Avalara Sales Tax

• Degree in Accounting

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
