Assistant Production Manager
Hallway Feeds (www.hallwayfeeds.com), a family owned company recognized as a leader in the manufacturing and marketing of premium equine feeds and supplements, seeks candidates for an Assistant Production Manager position. The location for this position is at Hallway Feeds manufacturing facility in Lexington, KY.
Summary
Responsible for assisting the Production Manager in supervising and operating the manufacturing facility including receiving, storage, finished product manufacturing, manufacturing inputs and accurate production of all products, while maintaining daily production goals.
Able to assist in developing, implementing and ensuring that all production processes are running efficiently and accurately.
Reports to the Production Manager

- Strategic thinking and ability to manage production systems in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
- Requirements:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required
- Manufacturing experience is a necessity, feed mill and agricultural experience is a plus
- Proven ability to lead and direct fellow employees
- Ability to work independently without constant management oversight
- Familiarity with technology
Expectations: Hours: M-F, 12pm-9pm
- Assist in growing Hallway Feeds market share and profitability
- Ability to manage performance of production employees with an emphasis on productivity, efficiency and quality
- Work closely with sales teams and management to achieve production goals
- Assist in management of the production process and team.
- Ensure products move from production through the supply chain to the end user as efficiently as possible
