What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator-Utility position at Hammer Construction?
Hiring heavy equipment operator with experience in underground utilities (water, storm, and sanitary). Trench safety experience required. Valid Drivers License and Clean MVR is a plus. Must be able to pass drug screen.
It is standard for an operator to perform a variety of duties involving the operation and maintenance of one or several types of power construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement. Operators are required to complete and uphold required operating credentials and expected to operate in a safe manner at all times. In addition to the standard operating duties, operator may at times be asked to complete laborer duties listed above. Operators are expected to be able to endure physical demands such as bend, stoop, squat, or stand for a significant period of time, lift at least fifty pounds, climb a ladder, and withstand outside temperature changes.
