Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our landscapes. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for outdoor work, and proficiency in various groundskeeping tasks. The Groundskeeper will ensure that all grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting.
Shift
Mon-Fri 8-4pm ; On call during winter months (nov-march)
Duties
- Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
- Operate snow removal machines
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Assist in the irrigation of gardens and landscaped areas to ensure proper water distribution.
- Conduct landscape maintenance including planting, weeding, mulching, and pruning of shrubs and trees.
- Maintain cleanliness of all grounds by removing debris and litter.
- Monitor the health of plants and lawns, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects.
- Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Knowledge of gardening techniques and landscape design principles is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
