About the Role:
The Human Resources Intern will work onsite from our Corporate Office in Kokomo on a part-time, year-round basis. Our HR intern will have the opportunity to work 10 - 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule to accommodate course load - and full time during the summer if desired! The intern will gain hands-on experience in multiple aspects of HR and will interface with various business departments focusing on HRIS, benefits, total compensation and HR generalist responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Education:
Pursuing Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or related field and at least in junior year standing. Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Experience:
At least one year of customer service experience preferred; Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (specifically Excel).
Areas of Knowledge:
Knowledge and understanding of basic Human Resources functions; Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Support HR team in creating a positive work experience for employees
- Perform administrative tasks such as onboarding, audits, benefits administration and more
- Perform basic user administration across multiple systems, including the company HRIS (UKG) and LMS (Cornerstone)
- Assist with projects related to compensation, pay equity and job structure
- Assist with creating training modules using MS Office package including PowerPoint and other presentation software
- Conduct data analysis and present findings
- Contribute to the implementation and execution of projects
- Assist with documentation of processes and best practices
- Collaborate with the HR team to manage employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure confidentiality and data security of sensitive HR information
- Conduct research on HR trends, compliance, and best practices to inform policy development.
- Support the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks as needed, including database management and record-keeping.
