The Heartland Cafe is a historic restaurant located in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood. Opened in 1976, Heartland was from the beginning a meeting place for outspoken progressives, neighborhood residents, free thinkers and healthy eaters. The original motto for Heartland - "Good Wholesome Food for the Mind and Body" still holds true today. Heartland features vegetarian friendly, scratch cooked whole food meals.
