We Keep Your Helicopter Flying Safely, Whatever The Mission!Heli-One is the leader in rotor wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) with decades of expertise supporting a wide range of helicopters. Our global support network includes base maintenance; line maintenance; component and engine repair and overhaul; and Engineering and Design within our 500,000 square feet of international facilities in Vancouver, Canada; Stavanger, Norway; and Rzeszow, Poland.Heli-One Canada has an opportunity for Structures AME -ACA who will be Responsible for maintenance to airworthy standards, inspecting and releasing maintenance for contracted maintenance support at our Bordon, ON location.
Key Responsibilities
- Follows approved repair/modification procedures for component or aircraft, consulting internal procedures that have been TC approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) technical data, and work package instructions.
- Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points
- Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before submitting for final release inspection; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
- Performs serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
- Completes work package documentation after finishing all designated operations.
- Submits completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and recertification of airworthiness.
- Work shifts/weekends as required
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
- Valid Transport Canada AME “S” Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters
- Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
- Knowledge of aviation standards
- Minimum 3 years’ Structures experience
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to process complex systems and logically think through problems
- Results oriented with a focus on quality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions
- Works on shop floor involving frequent lifting of materials up to 30 lbs
- Frequently operates dangerous machineries requiring safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, hearing protectors, work boots and hard hats
- Constantly exposed to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust or dirt
- Occasionally exposed to extreme temperature or humidity
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Canada
