By leveraging advanced AI, we provide a premium, AI-powered layer to simplify and enhance government interactions. Our mission is to simplify and enhance processes like passports, travel visas, vehicle registrations, and immigration, and eventually expand to other citizen government services

In just over a year since our inception, HelloGov AI has achieved rapid growth and expansion. As part of this growth, we’re looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our technical operations and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our platform.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Engineering to take full ownership of our platform’s infrastructure, manage a talented team, and lead the next phase of our growth. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a fast-growing AI company.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Oversee the architecture, development, and maintenance of HelloGov AI’s platform, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
• Infrastructure Ownership: Take responsibility for the platform’s infrastructure, including implementing cybersecurity measures and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Cybersecurity and Compliance: Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO or other document-processing-related compliance standards and assist in acquiring cyber insurance policies.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a small but dynamic team of developers, engineers, and product specialists to achieve technical and business objectives.
• Operational Excellence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, prioritize projects, and align technical execution with business goals.
• Product Oversight: Ensure the stability, efficiency, and compliance of the product while implementing robust data retention policies and maintaining alignment with government regulations.
• Scaling and Hiring: Build an in-house engineering team to support HelloGov AI’s rapid expansion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering leadership roles, preferably at a high-growth startup.
• Strong technical background in software development, cloud infrastructure, and AI technologies.
• Expertise in cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to document processing or government services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage outsourced engineering resources.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with AI or automation solutions is a significant advantage.
