At a Glance

Responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures to analyze, verify and prepare financial information and account reconciliations and assist in audits. Working under minimal supervision with a wide latitude for independent judgement, the Experienced Senior Corporate Accountant prepares standard and specialized financial reports and/or records according to GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Partners across teams to compile and analyze financial information and support our International Operations.

Location: Tulsa, OK

This position is expected to be filled in the greater Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for month-end close procedures, including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses of results
• Ensure transactions are appropriately documented, recorded, and comply with company policies and accounting standards
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances promptly, collaborating with relevant departments or subsidiaries when necessary
• Assist with internal and external audits of the company’s quarterly and annual financial statements, including preparation of audit schedules, and responding timely to auditor questions and requests
• Obtain an understanding of established internal controls and accounting policies and procedures and effectively improve, maintain, and enforce such controls, policies, and procedures
• Participate in the identification and implementation of improvements to accounting processes
• Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management
  
  

What You Need

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting
• 6 years of related accounting experience to reflect the skills necessary for this role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with multinational corporations and international accounting including FX
• Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Experience with general ledger function and the monthly/annual close process
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (such as Excel and Word)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle
• Experience with publicly traded companies and SOX control requirements
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills

• Public accounting experience
• CPA or CPA track
• Spanish proficiency
• Experience with Alteryx, Blackline, Microsoft Power Suite, or Oracle
• Experience in the oil and gas industry
