Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state of the art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions. Job Description:

Answers telephone, screens callers, relays messages, and greets visitors

Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with persons of all backgrounds

Ability to work under pressure

Promote accuracy and efficiency in front desk procedures and paperwork

To register patients according to Hematology Oncology Associates protocols.

To explain clinic policy to patients while receiving and delivering messages,

To assist patients with accurately completing appropriate forms and documents for the required information
-
To handle and manage the continuous flow of information from doctors' offices and health care establishments.

To respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of clients, to assure client confidentiality at all times

To organize and maintain forms and office stationery required for front desk activities and overflowing paper documents

To schedule appointments according to physicians orders for examinations, hospital admissions, laboratory tests, and diagnostic tests

To distribute the required information via fax, telephone and email.

To direct patients and medical representatives to the appropriate location and services,

To secure your work area, turn off or unplug machines and lock all entrances at the close of each working day.

To keep the reception area ready for each working day at the specified time and have all front desk activities fully operational at the start of the business hours.

Participate in the development and improvement of clinic and front desk procedures

To attend and participate in staff and educational meetings.

Travels to satellite locations and floats to other clinics if needed
