SALARY RANGE:Job Grade: 34. Salary Range: $19.00-$21.00 plus health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plan, and other benefits per personnel policy.
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Member Services Administrator works under the direction of the Membership Director. The position will assist the Membership Director in the selling and processing of all memberships. This includes giving tours, participating in promotions and daily communication with members and prospective members.
KNOW HOW:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Education – High School Diploma with three to five years’ experience in customer service.
· Language Skills - Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and work with all employees and members. Ability to present information in a clear and effective manner and respond to questions from employees, managers, members, and the general public.
· Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures, percentages, and amounts.
· Reasoning ability - Ability to address complaints in a positive manner and resolve practical problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Computer Knowledge- Ability to work in both Word and Excel.
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:
Under the direction of the Membership Director, assist in creating and implementing successful membership promos and member driven events.
- Assist in maintaining an atmosphere that motivates long-term member participation and retention.
- Day to day responsibilities include:
Giving tours and providing the information needed for membership options.
Processing all online memberships
Renewing and adjusting memberships
Reviewing of all memberships processed at the front desk.
- Assist and attend special events where there are membership opportunities.
EFFECT OF END RESULT
To provide quality customer service in the membership office while aiding in the growth, retention, and future opportunities in the membership department.

walk, talk, or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Must have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation to and from the recCenter as well as the ability to occasionally travel to local businesses for membership promotions.

The noise level in this work is usually moderate. There will be times when the employee must be able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously due to the nature of member usage in the facility and telephone inquiries.
Work Schedule- This position requires a 40-hour work week. Primarily weekday hours between 10 am-7 pm with occasional adjustments for promos and special events.

FACILITIES:110,000 sq. ft. facility on 22 acres. Facility consists of 6 indoor tennis courts, fitness center, full size gymnasium, 25 meter six lane swimming pool, outdoor feature pool and wading pool, three fitness studios, four locker rooms, 10 outdoor tennis courts,1 conference room and administration offices.
BUDGET:Organization budget is $6 million.
STAFF:Hempfield recCenter has 150 staff – 14 full time staff. Staffing increases to nearly 250 over summer months.
