Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern for our Internship Program. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical, hands-on experience in accounting within a global organization. As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with routine accounting tasks under the close supervision of experienced professionals. You will be responsible for supporting a variety of financial activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer invoicing, and fixed asset management.

Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern for our Internship Program. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical, hands-on experience in accounting within a global organization. As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with routine accounting tasks under the close supervision of experienced professionals. You will be responsible for supporting a variety of financial activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer invoicing, and fixed asset management.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize financial systems to perform tasks related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets
- Prepare standard and nonstandard journal entries and perform general ledger account analysis
- Provide documentation and support for external auditors as needed
- Apply customer payments, follow up on outstanding issues, and assist with revenue recognition for customer orders
- Prepare customer invoices and ensure accurate general ledger account distributions
- Support the tracking and accounting of fixed asset purchases, depreciation records, and periodic physical audits
- Make journal entries, load data into the global database, and perform financial statement analysis
- Collaborate with other entities to address and resolve reporting issues
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks, Costpoint, or OneStream is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the accounting field
