JOB TITLE: Maintenance Custodian
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff 1
REPORTS TO: Director
SUMMARY: Work involves the cleanliness and maintenance of the Board's facilities, equipment and grounds.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Keep floors and offices clean and free of hazards. Includes mopping, taking out the garbage, and utilization of floor equipment.
2. Clean and maintain all Restrooms with in the Main Center. Clean mirrors, base boards and windows. This also includes dusting any and all areas accumulating dust , dirt and grime. Remove and dispose of trash from offices, Kitchen and other areas. Keep all sidewalks by entrances clean.
3. May be entrusted with keys to secure Cleaning Supplies.
4. Responsible for the storage and protection of some company supplies.
5. Performs other reasonable, related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management, as required.
6. Responsible for the storage and protection of consumer records, including compliance with the Heath Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to perform work in accordance with routine and specific task assignments.
2. Knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment.
3. Must demonstrate the ability to work well with staff and clients in a polite, respectful and dignified manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability and willingness to physically perform required duties.
Valid Alabama Driver's License.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
High School Diploma or GED required.
