Primary Purpose:
Work a flexible part-time schedule supporting students afterschool at Hillcrest Elementary School
Part time = less than 19 hours a week
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or regional accrediting agency)
Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by employee
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with children and adults
Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats

Qualities of an Effective Tutor
The tutor exhibits qualities such as the following
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
- Daily flexibility to changeover to different assignments as dictated by campus administration and school needs
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area that could cause an accident and inform campus principal of any conditions that are not correctable immediately
- Shall comply with District policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations
- Shall comply with the standards of conduct set out in the Board Policy DH (Legal) and (Local) and with any other policies, regulations, and guidelines that impose duties, requirements and standards
