Himes Associates, Ltd. has a need for the position of a Data Center Advisor with a focus in Data Center Development in Northern Virginia.

-Onsite (Northern Virginia) with some flex-hybrid work available depending on schedule.

This position will generally provide technical advisory and/or oversight of various Mission Critical / data center construction projects ($10MM -‐ $300M ).

This position requires general knowledge of data center development and financial and budget analysis experience.

What To Expect in this Job Position?

• Various Owner’s Representation duties that will be catered to the client and their tenant’s project needs.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risk for our clients and work directly with the Himes’ and client teams.
• Provide oversight of equipment specification, pricing and procurement
• Due diligence and risk assessment capabilities on large construction projects.
• Monitoring pay applications for data center construction projects and advising lender clients
• This includes being a member of the project team and communication and coordination with cross-functional, internal project teams. A critical aspect of this position is to minimize the client’s risk. This is accomplished through leadership and managing consistent processes, maintaining thorough records, minimizing disruptions to work processes and monitoring for errors and omissions.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/BA degree, preferably in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil), construction management or related architectural degree OR an undergraduate degree with an MBA
• 5 years of experience with design and construction projects.
• 2 years working in a data center or similar mission critical environment (either live or under construction).
• Demonstrated record of leadership and achievement delivering projects on time and on budget and meeting other project objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $140,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Ashburn, VA (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Ashburn, VA: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Salary : $1,000 - $140,000
