What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at HIRESIGMA?
What you will be doing:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal issues related to Civil Litigation and Workers' Compensation.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and contracts.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and client communication.
- Advise clients on legal strategies and options.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and staff within the firm.
- May be required to travel for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Experience you will need:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
- Experience practicing law in Virginia, with a strong emphasis on Civil Litigation and Workers' Compensation.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and software.
