Job Summary
The Construction Safety Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of construction sites. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs that adhere to industry regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, risk management, and environmental health and safety (EHS) practices.
Responsibilities
- Teach and enforce the company’s safety program and ensure all employees comply with Hirschi safety standards and state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Oversees the company’s new hire Safety Orientation training, and ensures it remains compliant with Hirschi, state, and federal requirements (i.e. OSHA, etc.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigates all incidents involving accident or injury and provides a determination of preventability.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into all aspects of construction management.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports on safety incidents, near misses, and compliance audits.
- Manage risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards on-site.
- Stay updated on changes in safety regulations, NEC codes, and industry best practices.
- Responsible for supervising the Driver Approval Process for AZ employees.
Qulifications
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance management.
- Experience with workers' compensation processes and claims management.
- Excellent risk management skills with the ability to identify potential hazards proactively.
- Ability to build effective relationships with team members, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong communication skills for conducting training sessions and presenting safety information clearly.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Must pass the company’s Driver Approval Process required
- Must pass mandatory drug test required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,400.00 - $85,000.00 per year
