SCOPE
Responsible for the in-process testing of products produced in HC-R to make sure that these products will meet the Final Quality Control standards as set by Holland Colors, including but not limited to color and particle size. Assist with analyzation of new raw materials. Ensure the required documentation and reporting for both customers and HCA records are compliant with established work instructions. Provide data and feedback for the control of HC production processes. Conduct FFC’s as required. Conduct complaint investigations as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines as set forth by the company.
Ability to differentiate between colors and achieve an acceptable score on color tests.
Utilize all equipment in Quality Control Lab as required to perform job. Company will train for proper use.
Be proactive, have proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, exhibit good judgment and excellent follow-through skills.
Possess and convey credibility, a positive attitude, high integrity, and a high degree of professionalism.
Perform all tasks independently in a high-pressure environment. Must prioritize own workload.

Other jobs as needed to support the integrated lab –training will be provided and may include tasks such as color matching, chip prep, UV testing, weathering, etc.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate various testing equipment including: Viscometer, Brabender, Press out press, Particle size analyzer, Color Computer / Spectrophotometer, Injection molder, and others as needed or acquired.
Test mixed materials from production mixing vessels against existing standards according to quality control inspection sheets.
Ensure every tested product meets the Final Quality Control standards as set by the company.
Process requests for raw materials to be sent to mixing rooms. Process mixing formulation sheets for mixers.
Adjust product to meet customer specifications.
Work in an efficient manner including the organization and management of computer files.
Abide by company rules, policies, and safety procedures.
Provide technical support to internal HCA representatives as it relates to processing testing methods.
Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to support standards set forth by ISO 9001:2015.
Maintain a clean and organized Quality Control Department.
Verify equipment is functioning properly and adequately maintained.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in quality, related field, or equivalent work experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, math skills equivalent to basic algebra, proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other company specific software is required. Good color vision required.
