Surveyor / Construction Staking
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction layout and topographic surveying
- Have a good understanding of construction plans and subdivision plats
- Experience using AutoCAD/Civil3D and Trimble Business Center
- Experience with Trimble survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, data collectors, and levels.
- 3D modeling experience is helpful but not required
- Demonstrate willingness, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment
Key Responsibilities
- Work in the field on topographic, transportation, and construction surveys, primarily as a one-person
field crew but occasionally on a two-person crew.
- Setup total station for machine control
- Perform calculations that may be needed for construction, including stakeout points, closing and adjusting level loops and field traverses
- Assist in coordinating daily tasks and assignments
- Perform office duties, including data preparation, calculations, 3D modeling, and CADD.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle safely.
