Professional Pet Groomer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. Our practice offers a separate private grooming area for a dedicated, compassionate, independent groomer looking for a space of their own. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various types of pets, particularly dogs. This role requires not only grooming skills but also the ability to handle and care for animals in a safe and compassionate manner. The Pet Groomer will work closely with pet owners to ensure their pets look and feel their best.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing recommendations for care.
• Handle animals safely and comfortably during grooming sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
• Provide basic animal care services such as feeding or walking when necessary.
• Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pet grooming.
• Skills in animal handling, including dog training, animal restraint, and heavy lifting when necessary.
• Background in veterinary assistance or animal care is a plus.
• Ability to work with various breeds of dogs and other animals with patience and understanding.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
• Certification or training in pet grooming is advantageous but not mandatory.
