What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Analyst position at Horner & Shifrin?
Horner & Shifrin is seeking a Support Analyst to work in our Information Technology unit. This position provides a high level of customer service through implementing, maintaining, resolving technical issues, supporting and optimizing all workstation and server hardware, and software and network equipment connectivity. Must be customer service orientated, have effective verbal communication and provide proactive work on behalf of our clients. This position requires 0-2 years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as first point of contact from staff seeking technical assistance over the phone and ticketing system.
- Perform remote troubleshooting (I.E. Password Resets, New User/Workstation Setups, Desktop Issues)
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Proficiency with Windows workstations and servers
- Anti-virus/malware software and remediation
- Email systems and SPAM filtering
- Network switches, firewalls and access points
- Backup systems and data recovery
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights
- Provide third party vendor management assistance
- Produce accurate documentation related to client environments and issue resolution
- Setup, deploy and replace Windows desktops and laptops
- Setup and install Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and other Windows applications
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
- Work schedule may require after-hours work
- Work may require overnight travel to other office locations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Precise attention to detail, high level of organization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Strong documentation skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize deadlines accordingly
- Able to meet deadlines and follow clear instructions
- 0-2 years hands on experience deploying, supporting and troubleshooting hardware, Windows OS and Windows Applications
- Working knowledge of Windows Servers and Networking hardware protocols
- Experience working with third party vendors, preferred
- Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco and other Certifications, preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred, but not required.
SALARY RANGE:
Salary will be commensurate with experience
