SUMMARY: Overall facilitation of the Spa, ensuring the highest luxury resort standards of professionalism, customer service and optimum cleanliness/health and hygiene standards. Provide operational support, hosting guided tours of the Spa, anticipating guest needs and inquiries, educating information and education to guests and colleagues, while upholding Company Standards and Codes of Conduct. Responsibilities include possessing thorough knowledge of all treatments, services, promotions and retail items, light clean-up, and providing exceptional guest service. Responsible for the Health and Safety of guests, employees and members in the Spa and adhere to guidelines and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety Manual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Consistently engage with guests and colleagues and adhering to culture and Codes of Conduct
Greet guests in a friendly and efficient manner and escort guests as required, give tours of the spa as required
Assist guests in the correct use of all facilities; sauna, steam room and fitness equipment
Ensure the smooth operation of the Spa and complete all shift duties
Respond to inquiries providing complete details of all spa, salon and fitness aspects.
Responsible for the cleanliness of lockers, hallways, artwork, fixtures, treatment rooms, offices and consultation rooms, Steam & Sauna facilities, bathrooms and service closets, and assist with any situation that impacts the guest experience
Remove trash from work areas to the loading dock/dumpster and remove trash and linen from cleaning carts
Maintain that all storage and distribution area in a clean and organized condition
Ensure stocking of all spa amenities, toiletries and linen inventory
Distribute linen to designated areas in the Spa in accordance with established par levels
Remove dirty linen to holding area on loading dock
Report any linen shortages or other discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor
Move, store and stock furniture, supplies, and equipment
Perform all opening and closing duties
Exhibits company Standards with guests, members and colleagues
Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with colleagues efficiently and effectively
Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes
Clean and maintain Spa, equipment and rooms.
Promote Spa treatments and services
Maintain alertness and observe safety standards to ensure guest and colleague safety at all times
Inspect and evaluate operation condition of all equipment and report necessary repairs to manager on duty
Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding the Company and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability
If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
Actively participate in other areas of the Spa Operation, such as treatments, product knowledge and retail sales
Attend all scheduled Spa, Resort and departmental meetings
Adhere to and promote the Corporate culture
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous Spa or Hospitality experience preferred.
Must possess exceptional communication, hospitality, and interpersonal skills
Proven history of working well in stressful situations
Availability to work flexible shifts
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to complaints or inquiries from groups of managers, customers, employees and general public. Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees in person, via telephone or in writing.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CA Driver’s License required.
Guard Card a plus.
CPR/First Aid certified a plus
Must obtain Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Certification.
