What You'll Do:
As the Shipping and Receiving Associate you will perform Shipping & Receiving activities ensuring safety, quality, accuracy and customer due date/output goals are met.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Performs the shipping and receiving of all products, materials, and supplies, as well as tracks and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure the system and inventory is accurate.
- Compares and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
- Manages billing, PO requisitions and reporting through the ERP system to ensure complete and accurate records.
- Operates sit down and stand-up forklifts to stage material in the appropriate area in a safe and efficient manner to ensure accurate picking, preparation, and shipping.
- Prepares materials with packaging and labeling onto appropriate skids to maintain the quality of the product and ensure the full order travels together, where appropriate.
- Loads and unloads products safely into trails and vans ensuring they are stacked properly to avoid damaged products.
- Maintains inventory rotations and performs periodic physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and resolve any issues.
- Analyzes production schedules to get need materials staged to ensure timely transportation of materials and products.
- Analyzes shipping procedures, routes and rates to determine the best method of shipment.
- Ensures the company is compliant with safety, quality, and environmental standards to meet regulations.
- Performs additional tasks as needed to meet the needs of the company.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent combination of skills and experience preferred.
- Experience: 3 years of Shipping, Receiving, and Material Handling experience or similar work experience in a warehouse environment preferred; will train the right person who has excellent counting, visual accuracy, and PC skills
- Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Forklift experience preferred, willing to train the right person.
- Functional Skills: High attention to detail with an ability to read and understand documents, procedures and specifications, along with the ability to match part numbers accurately. Solid math and counting skills are required. Data entry skills with the ability to develop and maintain reports and metrics. This role also requires strong organization skills, prioritization skills and an ability to multitask and problem-solve issues in a fast-paced environment to meet output goals. Knowledge in supply chain management is needed.
- Technology Skills: Ability to operate scanner and printer, basic computer skills to perform data entry into computer system.Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP Software.
- Communication Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to mentor others.
- Leadership/ Behaviors: Strong work ethic and values, focused on the customer and quality, and accuracy with the flexibility to move to priorities throughout the operation areas, following all Safety requirements. Solid judgement, critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and within teams.Ability to communicate in a professional manner with management, team members, and customers.

Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary: Hourly pay based on experience.

Reports To: Director of Operations
Core Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week on average
