IT Field Service Support Technician (Secret Clearance)
Type of Position:
6 to 12 month contract to hire role
Candidate Requirements:
This role is working for a major defense contractor. Candidates MUST have an active Secret Security Clearance for this role (candidates who held Secret Clearance less than 2 years ago would also be eligible as your clearance could be reactivated). Secret Clearance requires US Citizenship (and thus only US Citizens will be eligible for this role).
Job Location:
This role is located on base at Hill Air Force Base (AFB) in Utah.
Compensation:
$35.70/hr to start. Overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

Overview:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major defense contractor to hire an IT Field Service Support Technician (Secret Clearance). This role will provide key IT support to various resources at Hill Air Force Base (AFB) in Utah.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide desktop, laptop, and some server IT support for customers.
• Install hardware, software, and networking components to meet personal computer needs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot individual and multiple computer systems to maintain proper functioning.
• Resolve issues, including contacting and assisting vendors when necessary.
• Research, analyze, and provide hardware/software recommendations, ordering information, and purchasing details to assist users in obtaining necessary equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex end-user hardware/software problems, including issues with networks, desktops, printers, remote access software, VoIP, mobile devices, MS Office, and various Windows OS versions (XP, Vista, 7, 10).
• Configure new computers and coordinate the workstation upgrade/replacement process.
• Participate in the deployment of new software platforms.
• Track user requests, maintain case histories, and ensure all cases are current and complete.
• Verify problem resolution with the customer and close cases accordingly.
Skills, Experience, Education Required:
• Candidates MUST have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Higher level education is welcomed.
• 5 years of experience in an IT support role.
• Proficiency in McAfee, Microsoft OS (XP, Win 7, Win 10, etc), Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Server 2003/2008.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of computer hardware, software, terminology, and local area networks.
• Strong organizational skills.
Work Environment:
• This is a 1st (day) shift
• There may be occasional overtime in this role. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x.
