Lead and manage a team of Claim Directors and is responsible for a claims team at the division level within the Commercial Equipment Breakdown Unit. Is ultimately accountable for the quality/accuracy of the work product, delivery of exceptional customer service, talent management, and creating an engaging work environment. Responsible for implementing organizational change, managing mission critical objectives, mentoring and developing staff, and driving continuous improvement. Communicate in a manner that drives the organization’s mission, vision, values and strategic goals. Owns team performance trends, conveys a detailed understanding of the opportunities for improvement, and executes existing practices and/or action plans that lead to results within established targets.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred or equivalent work experience
- 7 years of insurance experience in a claims operation is required
- Formal leadership experience
- Experience in leading and managing all levels of staff relative to experience, tenure and professional development
Knowledge and Skills
- Sound analytical skills in terms of functional, technical and financial information.
- Ability to understand and effectively analyze HSB coverage forms.
- Expert knowledge of Data Management and Analytics.
- Strong understanding of reserve accuracy relative to claim exposures.
- Excellent customer focus and ability to partner with internal and external customers including, but not limited to Legal, Client Companies, Marketing and Underwriting.
