Construction Estimator (Flexible - Aberdeen, SD | Sioux Falls, SD | Norfolk, NE)
As a Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to analyze project requirements, estimate costs, and ensure our bids are accurate and competitive. Your ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with exceptional organizational skills will make you a vital member of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor services.
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop competitive and accurate bids.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, market trends, and pricing.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure the best pricing.
- Use estimating software and tools to streamline processes and increase accuracy.
- Evaluate project risks and create contingency plans.
Requirements
5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
Proven track record of accurately estimating and bidding construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Advanced proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with team members and clients.
Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations in South Dakota and Nebraska is a plus.
