HIM Inpatient Analyst

IMC is currently hiring an Inpatient Analyst for our HIM Department on a Full Time basis. The

Inpatient Analyst is primarily responsible for working with discharged

inpatient records to include quantitative analysis. Must possess strong mathematical skills and

understanding of hospital statistic rules for the collection and submission of accurate

hospital statistics.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma Medical Transcription schooling a plus Knowledge of medical terminology 3-5 years of medical records, transcription, and/or medical office experience

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs retrospective analysis of

inpatient and IP Rehab discharges, flagging deficiencies Reviews documents in the hybrid record

and ensures documents are present in the EMR Maintains control procedure for

inpatient discharges Generates electronic discharge lists

& posts to shared drive for in and outpatients Reports and compiles daily and monthly

hospital statistics Communicates with other departments

regarding status changes to ensure accurate and timely corrections contributing

to statistics Serves as a resource to HIM team to

assist with questions surrounding the various HIM functions and assists with

devising staffing plans for
