Infection Prevention & Wound Nurse
iCare Health Network is seeking a dynamic and experienced Infection Prevention & Wound Nurse to join our 60 West team. Come and join our progressive and impressive team of professionals. RN preferred.
This role is responsible for :
- Plans, organizes, develops and directs the infection control program in accordance with government guidelines, regulations and company policies.
- Advises and consults with physicians, nurses and staff concerning precautions to be taken to protect patients, staff and visitors from possible contamination or infection.
- Investigates infection control problems and follows up on the care for persons exposed to infection or disease.
- Tracks, prevents, and treats wounds of residents and staff with help of wound care specialist.
- Ensures that the facility is in compliance with current CDC, OSHA, state and federal regulations.
- Provides professional development to all levels of Nursing Department clinical staff which includes both clinical, required mandatory in-services and non-clinical in nature.
- Provides coaching and supporting staff on the patient care units to improve patient care and clinical knowledge as may be needed.
- Is required to manage multiple priorities.
- Requires work on evening and night shifts as needed to ensure program compliance.
