- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to healthcare quality standards such as those set by The Joint Commission (TJC) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Prepare the organization for audits, inspections, and accreditations by regulatory bodies
- Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks within the organization, with a strong focus on patient safety and operational vulnerabilities
- Quality Improvement:
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality improvement programs in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Monitor performance metrics and lead initiatives to enhance care quality
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Ensure the organization adheres to federal, state, and local regulations
- Create and update policies and procedures related to quality and risk management
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to foster a culture of safety and quality
- Provide training and guidance on risk mitigation and quality improvement strategies
Work Schedule
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Active Kentucky (KY) or multi-state nursing license (Required)
- Certification in Risk Management (e.g., CPHRM or equivalent) (Required)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality and risk management within an acute care hospital setting (Preferred)
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
