Principal Algorithm Engineer

Our core expertise is in small, lightweight, high performance multi-mode radar systems for unmanned and manned aircraft. We cover the entire life-cycle, often beginning with defining a market where none exists, designing and building the product, training the customer on how to use the system, and supporting it in the field. We have an impressive product, a compelling value proposition, and a great team to work with. We need someone with the skills and experience to provide technical leadership over, help secure funding for, and advance our radar products that include Machine Learning (ML), Moving Target Indication (MTI), and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging capabilities. You will work with our Senior Technical Staff and Algorithms teams, must be capable of mentoring other engineers, completing work with little management oversight and will have the opportunity to take technical lead on projects as needed. As a result, you will have the ability to dig in and shape our projects and make a large contribution to the company.
You must have the following qualifications:
- 15 years' experience with radar algorithms, signal processing, and/or machine learning
- Knowledge of Python
- MS or PhD in Engineering related field
- US citizen and eligible for a US Government security clearance.
- Able to work at our facility in Springville, Utah or work effectively remotely with regular travel to our Springville facility
We would like you to have these skills:
- Deriving radar system and/or algorithm requirements
- Radar performance modeling and simulation
- Writing proposals and providing ROMs for RIFs, BAAs, and SBIRs for a variety of radar systems
- SAR algorithms, including different imaging techniques, autofocus and change detection
- GMTI systems and algorithms, including array processing techniques for clutter canceling, angle estimation, detection, and target tracking
- Knowledge of C and/or CUDA
