What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microbiologist position at Infosoft?
Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician
Pay Rate: $23/Hr
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Bowling Green, KY
Shift timing - 1st Shift for first 1-2 Months then 2nd Shift
The position will train on the Day Shift, 8 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time (M-F) – training will last 4-8 weeks.
After training, the position will move to the 2nd shift schedule – 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Sun to Thurs or Tues or Sat – we are flexible on which grouping of days is worked, but must be one of these.
- Plate reading and communication of results
- Gram-staining
- Finished product and raw material testing
- Stocking of inventory, media, and reagents, managing laboratory waste
- Environmental monitoring including testing process water, air sampling, and swabbing of equipment (limited)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science field or relevant work experience
- Minimum 1 year experience with microbiological testing required
- Experience with hygienic sampling & hygienic plating required
- Skilled in the use of PC software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP, relevant ISO standards, and/or auditing preferred
- Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: Up to $23.00 per hour
