Histotechnologist II

Job Functions:

• Oversee tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and high-resolution scanning, ensuring high-quality specimen preparation and accurate digital capture.
• Whole slide scanning of histology slides for pathologist review or quantitative image analysis.
• Compile quantitative image analysis data and prepare standardized pathology reports.
• Maintain standardization of histology sample collection, processing, storage, and analysis.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an area of biological or medical science
• 5 years of histology lab or related experience
• Basic histology procedures, including fixed tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy
• Histology, IHC, Pathology Data Analysis
• Whole Slide Scanning, Statistical Analysis.
• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $53.00 - $58.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
