Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Pick orders accurately, efficiently, and effectively.
- Organize and maintain products in the WIP (Work in Progress) racks.
- Cycle count areas as assigned by Inventory Control (IC) Team and/or Performance Leader.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintain lines of communication with production line team captains and supervisors.
- Communicate all inventory discrepancies to Inventory Control/Supervisors/Performance Leaders.
- Accountable for the organization of WIP Inventory.
- Accurate and timely recording of process parameters on specified documents.
- Accurate and timely recording of materials picked, product produced, scrap, and excess.
- Proper use and care of equipment and materials issued to work area.
- Coordinate with team captain and supervisors on process improvement efforts.
- Ensure day/swing shifts are set up for success by being correct and on time with necessary material picked and staged.
- Coordinate with Logistics on picks, excess, and completions of staging materials for Primary.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers, office equipment, calculator, telephone, and various word processing and spreadsheets software.
- Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Must be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to deal with a variety of interpersonal situations, solve practical problems and deal with variable business situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Good time management and organizational skills; initiative and desire to take on new tasks.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and special requests/changes.
- Must be able to move 50 lbs. from floor to 48 inches height.
- Ability to lift, twist, crawl, reach, grab, bend, climb, perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods.
- Must pass in house forklift certification.
- Subject to normal warehouse environment but must also be in the production areas on occasion.
- Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection may be required.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, powder, dust, and other particles.
- Subject to forklift traffic conditions.
