Job Summary / Basic Function :
About This Role :
Provide medical services to Lamar University Women’s Soccer student athletes under the direction of the Director of Sports Medicine and team physicians. Must have the ability to make independent decisions in the following areas : injury assessment, injury referrals, injury care management, return to play, emergency care, communication and administration. This position requires the ability to work with the athletic training staff, strength and conditioning staff, sport coaches, athletic administration, team physicians, and various departments across campus. This position may require you to work non-traditional hours, including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some travel required. This job is not suitable for remote work. What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities :
- Assist team Physician and Director of Sports Medicine in injury recognition, treatment,
rehabilitation, and conditioning of the student-athlete. Accurately maintain all records
and reports (physical examinations, injury records, physician notes, treatment &
rehabilitation notes, insurance claims, etc.)
