Salary Range / Bill Rate: $70,000-125,000
Work Authorization: US Cit/GC
Must Haves:
- Bachelors in Engineering
- Experience working with and designing and assembling manufacturing equipment
- Experience using CAD (Solidworks is preferred as they are a Solidworks shop)
- Experience doing process improvement
- Broad knowledge and understanding of advanced methods of manufacturing and automation, medical science, and risk management
Plusses:
- Experience working with lathe or CNC machinery
- Experience working in the Medical Device industry
About the Role:
Insight Global is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support our Medical Device Manufacturing client onsite in Bloomington, IN. This person will be working within their own laboratory (not on the floor) to develop innovative processes to further the manufacturing facility as a whole.
The Mechanical Design Engineers are tasked with creating and running with project proposals that improve facility ROI, product life cycle, and overall time management of the teams on the floor. This person will develop and run with machinery design projects from cradle to grave, including the conceptualization, requirement gathering, design in relevant technologies, material purchasing and production of PO’s, acquiring of equipment and components, assembly of equipment, and then passing off finished products to implementation teams.
Projects can be solely in research, some in design, others in fabrication, and some collaboration within implementation groups. This person should also have a high understanding of stand safety requirements and procedures and can remain calm in fast paced environments. The range of experience required can vary from Engineers freshly out of college with good hands-on experience working with machinery, to those with over 5-8 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
Salary : $70,000 - $125,000
