What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Integrated Staffing?
Our Long Island client is looking to add several certified Paralegals to their team. This Paralegal position is a full-time position located in Hempstead and Plainview, NY. The contract is anticipated to last 2 years and has the possibility of extension. This paralegal contract role will offer a hybrid schedule. The position pay rate is $28.50 per hour.
Paralegals will work under the direct supervision of an OAH attorney. Paralegals must have knowledge of basic legal processes; legal terminology and legal forms; legal research techniques; ability to read, understand, and interpret laws, legal documents, and other written material Paralegals must: use Microsoft Suite software; understand, speak, and write English; raise safety and professional concerns to direct supervisor(s); complete assigned trainings; and develop competency with OAH’s proprietary decision drafting software.
Paralegal Requirements:
Paralegals must:
A) Be professional and provide drafted decisions in the timeframe provided.
B) Possess paralegal certification.
C) Have a minimum of two years of experience providing complex clerical level legal support services to an attorney.
D) Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of legal
language and principles, and strong organizational and analytical skills.
E) Maintain confidentiality and agree to non-disclosure agreements maintained by the
Contractor
F) Access systems and complete all assignments within the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia.
