Job Summary:
The program supervisor is responsible for the overall management of the program. This includes maintaining excellent staff through hiring, training, and classroom observations, resolving issues that may hinder student retention, and overall development and continuous improvement of the program. This position may also be required to fulfill instructor and externship coordinator duties.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure the program adheres to ACCSC and DPOS educational standards and requirements
- Review and assist in the retention, graduation, and job placement of students to meet required benchmarks
- Manage, train, supervise, and evaluate instructional staff in the program
- Train instructional staff on technical information taught in specific classes and classroom management
- Plan and conduct classroom observations with all instructors in the program quarterly
- Conduct classroom visits for all program courses on a weekly basis
- Ensure instructors meet qualifications and are up-to-date in their field knowledge
- Establish and manage the program budget and order necessary supplies
- Manage student retention and graduation through the resolution of student issues and concerns that would cause poor attendance or program drops
- Counsel students on academics and attendance to ensure retention and graduation
- Check grade books for accuracy, monitor student attendance, and follow-up as needed
- Instruct established curriculum in the classroom on an as needed basis
- Determine potential and current problems within the program and communicate with management to resolve these problems efficiently and effectively
- Establish IAIP goals yearly and maintain them quarterly to monitor for adherence
- Plan and present at Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings bi-annually to ensure program is meeting industry expectations
- Prepare for and conduct weekly faculty meetings
- Attend all campus Tri-AD meetings, program supervisor meetings, IAIP meetings, quarterly in-service trainings, default prevention meetings, and all other required meetings and trainings
- Present and attend at all student orientations
- Contact students on leave of absence to ensure they return to the program
- Contact outside guest speakers for additional classroom learning
- Collaborate with career services to meet with potential employers for students who are graduating
- Maintain and inventory quality equipment and tools for program use
Secondary Duties:
- Assist Director of Education with the development of student support plans for struggling students or high-risk students as needed
- Supervise campus at night including management issues that may arise
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The position requires light work, occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds while frequently lifting up to 10 pounds. Instruction requires standing for long periods of time (up to 5 hours at a time), expressing complex topics through speech, sufficient vision to write notes for instruction, and hearing to interact with students. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Working Hours
Full-Time, variable 40 hour per week, Monday- Friday
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Successful completion of an educational Medical Assisting or related program
Experience: 3 years (minimum 4,000 hours) experience in Medical Assisting or a related field and 1 years of instructional or training experience
License(s)/Certification(s): Active RMA or equivalent certification
Salary : $55,000 - $56,000
