Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapy Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting occupational therapists in providing quality care to patients across various settings. Your assistance will contribute to enhancing the overall well-being and functional independence of individuals receiving occupational therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans and exercises for patients
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
• Support patients during therapy sessions to ensure safety and comfort
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment under the therapist's supervision
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas
• Communicate effectively with therapists, patients, and other healthcare team members

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Experience or exposure to occupational health settings such as skilled nursing facilities, inpatient, and outpatient clinics
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics
• Familiarity with early intervention practices is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

License/Certification:

• Occupational Therapy License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Barre, VT 05641 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Barre, VT 05641: Relocate before starting work (Required)
