Job Summary:
The Fire Supervisor will manage a team of employees in operations focused on the service and repair of fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire detection systems, gas detection systems, foam systems, and other fire protection systems. The role involves ensuring safety program compliance, managing daily operations, and leading the team to meet production, safety, and quality goals. The supervisor will also monitor resources, handle inventory, ensure accurate documentation, and address customer concerns promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and plan schedules for the team to optimize production and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Promote and monitor safety goals, identifying issues and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain inventory and prepare necessary reports.
- Communicate operational issues with Sales, Customer Service, and internal teams.
- Oversee hiring, performance evaluation, and coaching of team members.
- Manage preventive maintenance programs for equipment.
- Assist in setting departmental goals and objectives.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in fire protection or related industries, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and safe driving record.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, including out-of-town or offshore projects.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications such as TWIC card, State Fire Marshal licenses, and NICET level II.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
- Strong leadership, financial management, and communication skills.
- Experience in budget preparation and cost control.
- Commitment to safety, health, and company policies.
Must-Haves:
- Knowledge of fire protection products and services.
- Ability to work in a team and assume new responsibilities as needed.
- Certification in Respiratory Protection and Fit Tested.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
