The Industrial Performance Manageris responsible for leading/owning the Industrial Performance function at JJSF and leading/assisting the emerging Continuous Improvement function. All efforts will be aligned with JJSF Operations Goals, Objectives & Strategies and include a broad scope of both Manufacturing & Supply Chain.
Responsibilities:
Industrial Performance
Owns the Industrial Performance KPI system (SME). Develops and maintains manufacturing and supply chain KPI within JD Edwards and Power BI. Collaborates throughout the network to ensure quality data submissions and timely KPIs reviews to drive performance. Works across Finance & Operations to ensure all operational standards are kept current and focused on improvement.
Actively creates alternative data sources & reports focused on the business needs, such as waste tracking, downtime tracking, distribution center labor productivity, innovation progress, etc. and ensures validation of the data within our ERP.
Owns operational capacity reporting and analysis.
Supports other departments across the corporation with tools to analyze & drive performance.
Reports weekly, monthly and quarterly to Operations Leadership in the areas of efficiency, yield, waste, capacity, downtime, and any other pertinent measures, while ensuring the data ties to company financial results.
Continuous Improvement
Oversees the corporate CI program per the corporate standard. This includes maintaining a sufficient pipeline of projects, ensuring local teams are in-compliance with the standard and keeping management updated on the teams’ progress vs. their goals.
Maintains the CI Savings tracking log and works with all areas of operations to ensure freshness & accuracy.
Drives continuous improvement efforts to eliminate all forms of waste. Waste reduction projects should be sustainable, measurable, aligned with business strategies and meet all stakeholder requirements. Including inventory, transportation, motion, waiting, overproduction, overprocessing & defects.
Provides engineering support on the factory and distribution center floors to improve operations through the employment of lean six sigma techniques and CI methodologies to drive efficiency and cost reduction.
Develops and implements solutions for process improvement, such as visual factory, dashboards, KPIs, metrics, process-mapping, hourly factory reporting, time studies, and other innovative solutions.
Assists factory sites with CQV and vertical startup planning support for large capital projects, to ensure steady progress against established learning curves/startup plans.
Supports a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of operations.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree (Engineering or Business preferred), or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
2-3 years minimum; preferred 5 years of direct production/maintenance floor experience
2-3 Years’ experience working with plant management/leadership team with strong track record leading & developing cross functional teams
2-3 Years’ experience of project management, loss intelligence, & advanced problem solving
2-3 Years’ experience in Goal Alignment/TPM/Lean implementation
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and business regulations. Ability to read blueprints/schematics. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions to large groups of people. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concreate variables. Demonstrate an ability to analyze and interpret data.
Software Skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBi.
Other Skills/Abilities
Working knowledge of TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid driver’s license is required.
Travel
Must be able and willing to travel approximately 15-30% of the time.
