Job Brief
The Repair & Custom Job Coordinator is the first point of contact for repairs and custom work, ensuring each job is assessed, priced correctly, and fully prepared before production. This role involves working closely with sales professionals and repair teams, managing parts inventory, and handling customer contact. It requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of jewelry repair techniques. The position assists staff with repair intake and job evaluations and collaborates with the shop manager and admin to ensure efficient job progress.
Responsibilities:
Repair & Custom Job Assessment & Pricing:
- Evaluate and price jewelry repairs and custom work.
- Identify hidden repair needs.
- Assist sales staff with repair complexities and pricing.
Job Intake & Processing:
- Process incoming repairs and custom orders.
- Document client property details.
- Log and track jobs in the system.
- Communicate timelines and pricing to customers.
Coordination with Shop Team:
- Prep jobs for production with the shop team.
- Order and track necessary components.
- Monitor job progress and flag issues.
- Liaise between sales staff and the shop team.
Customer & Sales Floor Support:
- Assist with customer repair and custom job inquiries.
- Explain repair processes and costs to customers.
- Ensure proper check-in/check-out process.
- Support sales staff in evaluating or pricing repairs.
Quality Control & Final Checks:
- Inspect completed jobs for quality.
- Verify all work before customer pickup.
- Include necessary documentation.
Administrative & Inventory Support:
- Maintain job progress records.
- Manage special materials for jobs.
- Ensure smooth workflow between sales and shop teams.
Compensation & Benefits

Requirements:
- Jewelry repair knowledge and experience in evaluating repair work.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computers and POS/job-tracking software.
- Experience in the jewelry industry is highly preferred.
