Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Technical and managerial responsibility for several multi-discipline engineering teams spread across assigned region and or WW.
- Ownership of Regional and or WW Economics – Profits, Margins, Managing the ongoing planning, budgeting, and management staff.
- Staffing, Organizational Structure, Succession Planning.
- Develop and maintain expertise in Specific Industry Sector.
- Clearly understand all Operational elements of Jabil’s Business.
- Marketing and sales capability for services, products, and IP.
- Understanding of the EMS business model.
- Provides direction and strategy on design and development activities to improve, modify or design new equipment products and processes for region and or global organization.
- Develops, determines and implements policies, procedures and programs.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
- Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
- Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
- Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
- Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
- Strong and convincing communication skills.
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering MSEE and/or MBA preferred.
- Plus 8 years experience required.
- Plus 5 years experience in engineering management role.
- Willingness to travel world-wide up to 30% of the time.
- Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
